Israeli PM, Russian President to meet in Moscow next week

(MENAFN) On Thursday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that he will encounter with Russian President Vladimir Putin next week in Moscow, after he postponed a planned meeting due to local political issues.

The meeting is adopted on Wednesday in the Kremlin, according to a statement released by the prime minister's office.

Both leaders spoke by phone earlier on Thursday, a day after a meeting between them was cancelled by Netanyahu amid predictable union by two of his main rivals ahead of the April 9 polls.

Next week's meeting is part of the ongoing attempts by Israel and Russia to organize their moves on the Syrian battlefield, as the both armies hold a hotline to avoid clashes of their air forces.
