Myanmar: 7 endangered dolphins die in 1 year
(MENAFN) The official Global New Light of Myanmar declared that 7 Ayeyarwady dolphins, an endangered species, have been discovered dead from February 2018 to February 2019.
Outlawed fishing and electrofishing were mainly accused of their horrible fate.
An Ayeyarwady conservation crew revealed that up to 72 Ayeyarwady dolphins were living in their natural habitats along the Ayeyarwady River from the central city of Mandalay to the northern city of Bhamo, Kachin state this month.
The crew often carries out the survey of the Ayeyarwady dolphin population in every February.
