Tunisia, Ghana agree to boost bilateral ties


(MENAFN) Altogether three cooperation promises were contracted on Monday between Tunisian Foreign Minister Khemais Jhinaoui and his Ghanaian counterpart Shirley Ayorkor Botchway, who is on a two-day official visit to Tunisia, the Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed on Monday.

The cooperation pacts cover the formation of a Tunisian-Ghanaian joint committee and the establishment of political consultations to enhance bilateral cooperation in fields such as trade, agriculture, industry, higher education, health and youth.

On the margins of the signing ceremony occurred on Monday in the capital Tunis, Jhinaoui underlined the Tunisian-Ghanaian common will to move forward on the path of enhancing fruitful political discussions on issues of mutual concern in Africa.

Jhinaoui added the size of trade between Tunisia and Ghana will move towards a remarkable development during the upcomong period after the decision to open a direct airline between Tunis and Accra, Ghana's capital, in addition to a shipping line to Tema Harbor in southeastern part of Ghana.
