Qatar- Contest of 10th group of Haddad Al Tahadi Championship concludes

DOHA:The contest of 10th group of Haddad Al Tahadi Championship without any contestant's qualification concluded yesterday.

The contest held under 10th Marmi International Festival of Falconry and Hunting. The event which is being held at Sabkhat Marmi, Sealine will conclude on February 2.

The Organizing Committee held a special draw for the fans on Al Habari birds and valuable prizes for visitors to the festival. On the other hand, the championship of Haddad Al Tahadi will resume today with the participation of the eleventh group of the 'Faroukh Al-Shawahin category in the evening.

The Organizing Committee said that due to unstable weather on Sunday morning, it was decided to postpone Al Tala championship competitions for groups from 1 to 8, and that a later date will be set and the contestants will be informed about the time.

Ali Al Humaidi, Head of the Haddad Al Tahadi Committee said that the participating falcons performed well in hunting for Al-Zajel bird.

Regarding weather condition, Al Hamaidi said: 'Unstable weather is not in the interest of anyone. However, competitors in this version and the previous version qualified in much worse weather conditions, and the winds are not as strong to postpone the tournament.

For his part, a contestant Fawaz Mohammed Falah Al Rashidi from Kuwait said: 'We came to our second home Qatar to participate in this great festival which aspires to every falconer, and become the talk of the street in the Gulf states.

Al-Rashidi thanked the organizers of the festival, Ali Bin Khatam Al-Mahshadi, Chairman of the organizing committee and his deputy Mohammed bin Abdul Latif Al-Misnad and all the committee that have made a clear effort in organizing and following up the festival activities, stressing that without the sincere efforts of the organizers.

Al Rashidi pointed out that the Organizing Committee has provided all facilities to participants from outside the State of Qatar, noting that the Committee has provided a venue for registration in Kuwait to register Kuwaiti citizens and Gulf participants.

For his part, a contestant Ahmed Hilali praised the level of competition in the championship threatened challenge.
