Turkey 2nd most active in stadium set up: UEFA


(MENAFN) Turkey is among most active countries in establishing stadiums within the past ten years, as it concluded 26 construction projects.

With Poland completing 27 projects, Turkey came second in a report the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) issued.

According to the report, "Poland and Turkey have been highly active in the area of stadium construction, having completed at least 10 more projects than any other European country in the last decade."

It added: "in terms of size, those stadiums in Turkey have an aggregate capacity of almost 750,000, just ahead of Russia (around 700,000) and Poland (around 600,000)."
