AFC Asian Cup: Iran, Iraq advance to knockouts
(MENAFN) Iran's national football team snatched a ticket to the 2019 AFC Asian Cup knockout stage after a goaless tie with Iraq.
By the end of Wednesday matches in the UAE, South Korea, China, Iran and Iraq managed to advance to the knockout round of 16.
South Korea claimed a 2-0 victory over China in their Group C match, as both teams marked their fourth meeting in the tournament.
Iran, following its Wednesday match, climbed to the first place in Group D as it heads to the knockouts.
