India managed to reach the semis of the Women's World T20 event and won hearts.
It was the biggest spectacle in 2018 for women's cricket.
India managed to win all their group matches that included a stupendous win against Australia.
In the semi-final match against England, the Indian eves produced their worst show.
Kaur's side suffered a whopping loss in the end.
Jhulan Goswami bid adieu to T20Is

On August 23, 2018, premier Indian pacer Jhulan Goswami announced her retirement from T20Is. The veteran bowler played 68 T20Is in her career. She picked 56 wickets.

Mithali Raj went on to lash out at former interim coach Ramesh Powar for playing a decisive role in omitting her from the WT20 semi-final.
Powar had shot back at the veteran batswoman.
The internal matters of the team became public, which ultimately led to Powar's contract not being made permanent.
