(MENAFN) Israeli military forces opened fire in close proximity to Beit Lahia city in the Gaza Strip, leaving two Palestinians wounded.
Gaza's Health Ministry explained the gunfire to have erupted on Monday, with the two Palestinians planning to organize a "maritime protest".
The protest, the ministry confirmed in a statement, was meant to stand against the Israeli blockade of Gaza on the strip's northern coast.
Israelis killed over 210 Palestinians since March during shooting, while injuring countless others.
