Turkey captures 112 illegal immigrants


(MENAFN) The Turkish coast guards have caught 112 illegal immigrants on a boat off southwestern Turkey in the Aegean Sea.

The forces declared that the boat was blocked by the coast guards near the Bodrum district in Mugla province.

The state-run Anadolu Agency revealed that the illegal immigrants, whom were from Somalia, Syria, Palestine, Egypt, Yemen and Iraq, had attempted to cross into a foreign country.

The Aegean was a common rout for illegal immigrants escaping into Europe via Turkey.
