(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Coinciding with the sultanate's celebrations of the 48th National Day, Batinah Expressway will officially open on December 19 under the patronage of Sayyid Fatik bin Fahr al Said. The 270km long Batinah Expressway is one of the strategic projects supervised by the Ministry of Transport and Communications. It starts at the end of the Muscat Expressway in Halban area and ends at Khatmat Milaha in the wilayat of Shinas.
It includes four lanes in each direction with a width of 3.75m for each lane with external asphalt shoulders of 3m and internal width of 2m.
