VIENNA -- Kuwait attaches special attention to cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the region's countries, mainly GCC states, in the domain of nuclear security, said a Kuwaiti official. "Kuwait pays maximum heed to a national integrated plan to promote nuclear security in the country," Kuwait's national liaison officer at the IAEA Nader Al-Awadhi said to KUNA after submitting a working paper to a relevant international conference. KUWAIT -- Ernst & Young (EY) Senior Tax Partner for the Middle East and North Africa region (MENA), Sherif El-Kilany, said Thursday that the GCC countries must look into means to lay the ground for automatizing taxes. KUWAIT -- Boursa Kuwait ended trading Thursday in the green zone as the premier market index rose 45.3 points to reach 5,435.2 points. Meanwhile, the main market index went down by 10.8 points to reach 4,734.2 points, while the all share market index went up by 33.21 points to stand at 5,186.9 points. PARIS -- Scheduled conciliation talks between a delegation representing the Yemeni Government and the Houthis kicked off at a venue near the Swedish capital on Thursday. In a statement, Special Envoy of the UN Secretary-General (SESG) for Yemen, Martin Griffiths, affirmed that the two sides had already inked an accord on swapping prisoners and detainees -- due to be effective soon. VIENNA -- OPEC ministers began Thursday their meeting in the Austrian capital with expectation of continuing the production cut deal for a period of nine months to tackle low prices. According to sources partaking in the meeting, the organization's member states will focus on stabilizing global prices after they went down by 20 percent last November, settling at USD 60 per barrel (pb). RIYADH -- Leaders of the GCC countries will convene in Riyadh on December ninth, Sunday, to partake in the 39th Arab Gulf Summit under the chairmanship of King of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, said Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, Secretary General of the GCC, Thursday.
