Israel awards USD1m for transport fuel alternative techs
(MENAFN) Israel was declared to have awarded two scientists with a prize of USD1 million for their works on fuel alternatives for transportation.
Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared the two winners to be Israeli Doron Aurbach and Finnish Peter Lindfors.
The prize was granted to the scientists for their technological innovation, which is expected to see a replacement for transport fuels.
"Israel has become a center of knowledge, research, industry and technology in the field of fuel substitutes and smart transportation. Awarding the prize to an Israeli researcher is a proof of that," Netanyahu stated.
