Qatar- Meteorology warns of developing thunderstorms with strong wind

Doha: Warning residents of avoiding marine activities, the meteorology department on its social media account said that thunderstorms continue in central and northern areas accompanied with strong wind reaching 39 kt in Al Khor and visibility dropping below 1 km in some areas.

In its daily report, it said that the weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy with scattered rain maybe thundery places at times.

Offshore, it will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times with scattered rain maybe thundery at times, the report added.

Wind inshore will be mainly southeasterly 05 to 15 knot gusting 35 knot at places during thundery rain.

Offshore, it will be southeasterly to northeasterly 05 to 15 knot, gusting to 35 knot during thundery rain.

Visibility will be 4 to 8 or 2 kilometer or less at some areas during thundery rain.

Sea state inshore will be 1 to 2 feet, rising to 5 feet during thundery rain. Offshore, it will be 2 to 4 feet rising to 13 feet during the thundery rain.
