Tough measures vowed for 'wrong place' parking
Sheikh Faisal affirmed that such vehicles could be involved in security- related crimes, noting several complaints have been filed by people in relation to the rate of annoyance caused by heavy-duty vehicles and buses, besides creating traffic jam and damaging pavements.
He called for serious coordination between the governorate and the General Traffic Department through campaign initiatives that cover all areas to remove the number plates of violating vehicles. He also requested the involvement of private sector in establishing special parking lots for heavyduty vehicles and heavy equipment for construction activities, in addition to housing units for the drivers of heavy duty vehicles, and a central market.
