Jordan- House panel to respond to speech from the throne named

Amman, Oct. 16 (Petra) - The Lower House committee entrusted with drafting the response to His Majesty King Abdullah's Speech from the Throne opening the Parliament's ordinary session on Tuesday elected MP Fawzi Tai'meh as chairman.

The committee, chaired by first deputy speaker of the Lower House, Nassar Qaisi, also elected MP Huda Etoom as the committee's rapporteur.

During the meeting, Qaisi stressed the importance of the response to His Majesty's speech, which highlighted the current national and regional situation, keeping in mind the best interest of Jordan and its citizens.
