Kuwait partakes in Lebanon's National Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BEIRUT, Oct 12 (KUNA) -- The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health have launched on Friday the 16th National Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign with the participation of Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) and Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS).
The Lebanese Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Health Ghassan Hasbani have launched the campaign in Beirut with a forum to educate people about means to avoid cancer and the importance of the early detection of breast cancer.
KRCS and QRSC have placed a Mobile clinic for Mammography screening under the ministry's disposal, where it will begin conducting its free examination in Harsh Beirut area.
Kuwait's Embassy in Lebanon First Secretary, Abdul Aziz Al-Oumi told KUNA that KRCS have been always playing its part in giving humanitarian aid to whoever needs it.
The event was attended by Al-Oumi, Kuwait's Embassy representative along with a delegation from KRCS, headed by its Secretary General Maha Al-Barjas. (end) osm.mys
