Tourism police to aid Louvre Abu Dhabi visitors

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The Abu Dhabi Police have opened a tourism police office at the Louvre Abu Dhabi Museum, announced authorities on Sunday.

The Abu Dhabi Police said the tourism police office aims to maintain a safe environment for residents and tourists visiting the museum.

The launch of the office aims to increase the police presence and bring a peace of mind to its visitors, said the Abu Dhabi Police.

The tourism police officer at Louvre Abu Dhabi will be providing a range of policing services in several languages, including communicating with authorities, informing tourists and visitors about laws and regulations, securing events at the museum and raising awareness regarding security in the museum's premises.

Col Omran Ahmed Al Mazrouei, acting director of the criminal investigations directorate of the criminal security sector, said that the opening of the office is part of the modernisation and development efforts that reflect the cultural image of the Abu Dhabi Police. Last month, the Abu Dhabi Police opened a Tourism Police Office at Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi.
