Lebanon approves trash incineration draft law


(MENAFN) Lebanon's parliament reportedly passed on Monday the trash incineration draft law which received several oppositions.

Elnashra reported the controversial draft law to be including burning waste, causing concerns to surface on the fate of the environment and human health.

Parliament member Paula Yacoubian stated "I am sorry to hear that some members of parliament believe that Lebanon is not polluted."

Parliament member Osama Saad also said that Lebanon ought to find a resolution on the trash issue using another method so as to reduce negative effects on health.
