Institut Francais du Qatar and HEC Paris to hold public information session


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The ‘Institut Français du Qatar' and HEC Paris, one of the world's leading providers of Executive Education, will hold a public information session at the premises of the French Institute on September 19 at 6pm.
HEC Paris in Qatar will offer a presentation in English of its degree programmes: the Executive MBA and the Specialised Master in Business Unit Management, followed by a question and answer session.
'Recognising that education is key to further developing Qatar's human capital, HEC Paris continues to demonstrate its commitment to Qatar's National Vision 2030 through this Information Session, HEC Paris in Qatar dean and CEO Dr Nils Plambeck.
'Originating from France, it is a privilege for us to collaborate with the ‘Institut Français du Qatar' and organise this session, which is designed to provide attendees with an in-depth insight into our world-class degree programmes he added.
HEC Paris joined Qatar Foundation in June 2010, bringing world-class Executive Education programmes and research activity to Doha.
In addition to the degree programmes, the institution also offers non-degree management programmes for executives, in the form of executive short programmes, as well as custom-designed programmes for individual companies.
The ‘Institut Français du Qatar' is part of the network of 98 French Institutes that promote the French language and francophone cultures in the world. It develops exchanges and partnerships with Qatar in the educational, cultural, scientific and academic fields.
The French Institute is the only official centre for French as Foreign Language exams in Qatar, offering Business French courses and exams in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Paris.

Life and vocational skills course teachers receive training
A training programme, organised by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, for 65 teachers kicked off on Thursday at College of the North Atlantic in Qatar (CNA-Q), for teachers of life and vocational skills course.
The programme is on the requirements of university submissions and job skills where the trainees will learn how to give students life skills such as writing personal articles in an outstanding manner. They will also learn to teach students how to write successful resumes and the common mistakes made in addition they will learn the difference between personal essays and letters of recommendation, and how to successfully conduct an interview for university or work.
The programme also aims to refine the skills of the course teachers and introduce them to the modified learning sources. The trainees will also learn ways of teaching and communicating information to the student in the simplest way possible, especially that it gives students skills of social and professional communication and introduces them to situations they may generally face, both in the academically or professionally.
The educational supervision department at the ministry was established in the academic year 2016-2017 in aim to provide professional academic and counselling services to enable secondary students to set their goals, discover their potential and develop it, which helps them achieve their goals academically and professionally.
