About Antony Smith
The author was born in England and was 10 years old at the start of WWII. He lived through the war and the aftermath. He went to sea in the British Merchant Navy at the age of 19 to fulfill his military requirement. He also spent time in the cruise industry as a marine engineer. After raising his family, he went back to sea for a while and ended up working as Chief Engineer in the hotel industry. When he retired he moved to Florida with his current wife and decided to write this novel.
