PM Groysman: Combating corruption is prerequisite for successful country's development

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Combating corruption is a prerequisite for Ukraine's successful development and further consolidation of its stand on the world economic map.

"We have adopted the necessary legislation and created the infrastructure of anti-corruption bodies in recent years. The Verkhovna Rada has approved all the decisions necessary to launch the High Anti-Corruption Court. I have exerted all my political influence to facilitate adoption of this decision. Currently, the government is working on creation of organizational preconditions for the court to start to work on time," Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said in an interview with the Maariv Israeli newspaper, the Government portal reports.

As Groysman noted, the fight against corruption primarily deals with the elimination of the conditions for the emergence of this phenomenon: elimination of smuggling at the border, combating scams in gas sector, medicines procurement, when allocating funds for regional development or reimbursing the value added tax.
