Al Muzn Oman, Lunar Cinemas sign agreement

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Al Muzn Oman Commercial and Lunar Cinemas inked an agreement at Al Muzn Mall last week, to open Oman's first laser projected cinema at the mall.

The project is said to be the Middle East's first public-private cinema venue. Moviegoers will have the option for private suites or a public hall. The cinema will open alongside a host of integrated leisure and hospitality facilities.

The agreement was signed by Majd Machfej, general manager of Al Muzn Oman Commercial and Khalid al Nabhani, CEO of Lunar Cinemas. It was witnessed by an array of guests including stakeholders, business partners and local media personnel.

To be launched in November with the first laser projector screen in Oman, the cinema will open the door to three VIP suites with 42 seats and dining facilities, as well as a public hall seating 80 spectators. The state-of-the-art venue is expected to attract cinema lovers and increase footfall to Mawaleh's highly anticipated commercial scene.

'Our new partnership offers an exceptional entertainment venue catering to residents from across the city, because we not only offer a cutting-edge movie experience, we also offer the privacy sought by many in Oman,' said Machfej.

'As one of several leading leisure and hospitality facilities, our cinema comprises a strong investment amidst an array of attractive retail options. In addition to our children's play area, the venue will bring our mall full circle as a highly sought-after commercial asset.'

Nabhani added, 'Soon cinemagoers can choose the film they want to see and watch it whenever they want to with the privacy of their own VIP suite. Lunar Cinemas has innovated the Middle Eastern market with a new vision for film in the sultanate. We are incredibly pleased to have concluded our partnership with Al Muzn Mall, which comprises our third venue nation-wide.' The mall will include a hotel, a 132-room venue catering to the rising demand of leisure and business travel segments, cafés like Starbucks, Meito, dip 'n' dip, and Al Meera hypermarket.
