Turkish police captures over 400 kilograms of heroin


(MENAFN) A security source declared that up to 438 kilograms (965 pounds) of heroin has been captured in Turkey's eastern Van province.

The source, whose identity remains anonym, added that the heroin was found in Ozalp district and two suspects of drug-smuggling were detained.

Interior Ministry confirmed that an average of 10 tons of heroin has been seized through Turkey in the first seven month of this year.
