This Sneaker Kickstarter Campaign is Bringing Hope to Colombia
Founder of RADYCAL Shoes, Andrés Chica, designed these shoes to represent how the Colombian community (especially the most vulnerable zones) through art and culture have overcome violence since the time of Pablo Escobar.
'Our Colombian history makes us proud because the important thing isn't the struggles we have been through but how we overcome them. There is always a way to create light in our darkest nights.'Through the RADYCAL shoes Kickstarter campaign , men have the option of pledging for the leather high-top sneaker or a unique, hand-painted pair from artist Apollo XIII of Medellin, Colombia.
RADYCAL also encourages you to pledge a message of hope to be inscribed on the RADYCAL mural in the 13th commune of Medellin, Colombia. The purpose of this mural and the intervention with fragments of it on their shoes is to show the community that there is always hope.
