2,700 Palestinians arrested by Israel since Trump's decision on Jerusalem

(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Ramallah, April 18 (Petra)--Israeli occupation forces have arrested 2,700 Palestinians since the United States President Donald Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem as capital of Israel, the Palestinian Prisoners Affairs Commission said on Wednesday.

The Israeli government escalated its arrest campaign after the US president's declaration on Jerusalem at the end of 2017 and arrested around 2,700 Palestinians including 600 minors, the commission added.

It also noted that there are no red lines for the Israeli government in dealing with the detainees, where all of them were attacked and tortured.

Jerusalem has been targeted during the large-scale arrests since the declaration of Trump, where the number of Jerusalemite prisoners reached 570 detainees, including 70 children, 22 female prisoners in Damon and Sharon prisons.
