Moroccan man arrested in Bulgaria over terrorism charges

(MENAFN) The extradition of a Moroccan man, wanted at home for terrorism charges over his alleged involvement with Islamic State militants, has been ordered by a Bulgarian court.

The district court in the southern town of Haskovo said that Nofal Rashid Zahri, 35, wanted by Interpol on terrorism related charges, will be extradited to Morocco, adding that the decision cannot be appealed.

The arrest warrant issued by Morocco alleges he is a "loyal member of the Islamic State militant group."

Zahri has admitted he worked for IS as an accountant, but says only to support his family.
