Turkey backs Jordan's role to safeguard Jerusalem holy sites, FM
(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Apr 2 (Petra) –– Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said on Monday that Ankara recognised His Majesty King Abdullah's role in defence of Al Aqsa Mosque and Jerusalem's Islamic holy sites.
The minister, who welcomed Jordan's ambassador in Ankara Ismail Rifai to discuss bilateral ties and regional issues, pledged that Turkey fully supports Jordan's role towards Jerusalem, which is part of the King's efforts to bring about peace and security in the region.
