Pakistan- Mardan District govt marks World Water Day
(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) MARDAN: District government, Water and Sanitation company and civil society organized a walk to create awareness regarding importance of cleam drinking water to mark World Water Day.
The walk led by naib district nazim Asad Ali, Assistant commissioner Imran Khan and Water and Sanitation Services Mardan Nasir Ghafoor took out the rally from College Chowk till Mardan Press Club.
They participants were holding banners inscribed with slogans regarding importance and clean drinking water.
Speakers in their speeches urged people to use water carefully as they face water crisis in future.
Nasir Ghafoor said that water in well was clean but those who consumers who use tube-well water was not clean. 'People should not waste water and protect water for future generation,' he said.
