Dubai airport staff return Dh18,000 to traveller

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) A UAE resident who lost his money while traveling to his country to get married got the shock of his life.

The man had taken a $5,000 (Dh18,364) loan and was surprised upon disembarking from the plane in his home country when he realised that the money was no longer with him, reported Emarat Al Youm .

Airport personnel gave him a call while he was in his home country and informed him that they had found the cash. The man was delighted, as he had had to cancel all arrangements made for his wedding after he lost his funds.

Director General of Airport Security, Brigadier Ali bin Lahej, added that stress associated with travel causes many people to forget their belongings or documents. Airport personnel are keen on providing the utmost support to travelers during such trying times, he added.
