5 policemen killed 2 wounded in Farah attack


(MENAFN- Pajhwok Afghan News) FARAH CITY (Pajhwok): Five Policemen have been killed and two others injured in militants attack on a check-post in Farah City, the capital of western Farah, province, an official said on Tuesday.

Dadullah Qani, the Provincial Council member and resident of the Shamalgah locality confirmed the incident and told Pajhwok Afghan News the Taliban stormed security forces check-post on Monday night in their village.

The Taliban captured the check-post in the overnight attack and took all the weapons and ammunition with them.

Taliban spokesman Qari Yousuf Ahmadi claimed five policemen were killed and four others injured in the overnight attack. He added the Taliban capture 19 weapons and other light and heavy equipment.
