51 suffer CO poisoning in Turkey's Agri

The number of people who suffered carbon monoxide poisoning in a correctional facility in Agri Province in Turkey increased to 51, Turkish media report on Monday.

Of those poisoned by carbon monoxide, 45 are the officers of the local gendarmerie, while six others are the employees of the correctional facility, said the reports.

The condition of two casualties is assessed as extremely severe.

The mass poisoning in Agri in eastern Turkey happened today.

The most recent mass CO poisoning in Turkey happened in a plant in Denizli Province, as a result of which 37 people were hospitalized.
