Egypt gets fewer offers in wheat tender
(MENAFN) Egypt's state grain buyer GASC delievred fewer offers and was quoted higher prices in a wheat tender, as traders held back because of a dispute over two blocked import cargoes.
The firm received bids from six suppliers, down from the 15 that normally bid to the globe's largest wheat buyer.
Additionally, one Cairo-based trader proclaimed that prices offered involved a risk premium of between USD4 and USD11 a ton.
