Saudi Arabia wins a seat of an alternate member of the Governing Body of the ILO for three years

Riyadh, Ramadan, Ramadan 17, 1438 H., June 12, 2017, SPA -- Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Labor and Social Development, has been elected as alternate member of the Governing Body of the ILO for a period of three years, at elections on the sidelines of the 106th Session of the International Labor Conference in Geneva.
The Governing Council elections, held this evening, ended with the nomination of 24 alternate members of government teams representing four geographical regions: Africa, the Americas, Asia and Aruba, where the Kingdom obtained 168 votes out of 253 as alternate member of the Asia Group for the period 2017-2020).
Minister of Labor and Social Development Dr. Ali bin Nasser Al-Ghafees, headed the delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the meeting.
