Oman- ISM students to leave for NASA on Friday


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Forty-four students of Indian School Muscat (ISM) accompanied by four teachers will leave on an Astrotour to NASA in the US on June 9.

In a press release, the school stated that it offers its students the opportunity for immersive learning through such exposure programmes.

The tour includes visit to NASA at Huntsville Space Camp Alabama, where the students will have the opportunity to be at the Path Finder Camp, Rocketry programme at Kennedy Space Centre.

Students will visit a host of recreational and amusement sites. This educational tour is interspersed with days allotted for sight-seeing and information through visits to Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom, Ripleys Believe It or Not, CNN studio, World of Coca-Cola, etc. The team will visit several cities and states.

The teachers who will accompany the students are Muraleedharan Thampy, Manju Chandralekha, Saumia Harikrishna and Felcy Fernandes.

Dr Rajeev Kumar Chauhan, principal, ISM has helped the teacher coordinators to plan the trip. Eskalin Gansalves, vice principal of the senior section has always encouraged such field trips. The team will return on June 23.
