Kuwait- KOC keen to back disabled sports


(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY, Nov 2, (KUNA) Kuwait Olympic Committee (KOC) Chairman Sheikh Fahd Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sbah said on Wednesday his committee is eager to provide all types of support to disabled persons' sports and develop their capabilities.

He made the remark during a meeting with Tunisian and Algerian lecturers and internationally classified disabled athletes Dr Halim Al-Jebali and Dr Mohamed Khalladi respectively on the sidelines of a disabled sports workshop held today, the KOC said in a press release.

Al-Jebali said Kuwait's gold win during recent Paralympic tournaments in Brazil reflected this Gulf country's eagerness to support disabled athletes' sports and develop their capabilities, it said.

He thanked the Public Authority for Sports (PAS) for organizing this event which would be surely in the interest of technical and training agencies, according to the statement.
