ASPIRE ZONE

Aspire Zone will be the ideal destination for citizens and residents to celebrate the day with the park transformed into a giant sports field featuring unique sporting activities and a fun-filled atmosphere.

This year 24 organisations and companies will host activities in Aspire Zone of which 14 are open to public. These are in addition to activities being organised by Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) and its member organisations in the park’s fields and across its modern facilities.

Abdullah Al Khater Event Manager AZF said: “Many prominent institutions and companies from the most important sectors have chosen AZF to celebrate the day with their employees and families. This reflects confidence in AZF’s organisational capabilities when it comes to such mega events we have been organising for past years.

“Our well-equipped world-class facilities and venues makes Aspire the destination of choice for many organisations and companies some of which are celebrating the day with us for the fifth consecutive year such as Ras Gas. We will do everything possible to ensure a remarkable event.”

National Sport Day plays an important role in fulfilling the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030 specifically the human development pillar which encourages people to participate in sport activities.

By engaging organisations and their employees to contribute to activities the day helps support the health of Qatar’s population now and in the future. AZF also supports people with special needs to access its venues and facilities making Aspire Zone the ideal destination for all.

Through its activities programmes AZF is focused on promoting healthy lifestyles and enhancing awareness among participants about the importance of sport.

As this is a goal shared by health organisations in Qatar many of them have chosen AZF as the place to celebrate the day including the Ministry of Health Hamad Medical Corporation and Qatar Diabetes Association.

AZF is the largest in Qatar in terms of space and the range and number of activities.

This is one of the major reasons why oil and gas companies and organisations from the sector have selected AZF to host their activities for the day.

These include the Ministry of Energy and Industry Qatar Petroleum Tasweeq RasGas Muntajat and Qatar Shell in partnership with Qatar Football Association.

Many government financial and sporting entities will also have a presence at AZF including the Ministry of Justice the Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy Qatar Stock Exchange the National Human Rights Committee Qatar Center for Voluntary Activities and Al Jaish Sports Club amongst others.

People interested in visiting Aspire Zone on the day can find details of all activities through the ‘Life in Aspire’ mobile application the Life in Aspire website – www.lifeinaspire.qa – or on any of AZF’s social media channels.
