Airbus pledges to boost sales of A380 planes
(MENAFN) European aerospace giant Airbus has pledged to log better sales of its A380 superjumbo, as the jet maker readies to celebrate a decade in the skies having booked no new orders since 2013, Arab News reported.
Airbus has officially sold 317 A380s, which have a list price of USD428 million each. It has delivered 158 so far and industry sources say it will deliver the 159th next week, passing the midpoint.
"This will be a very good year for A380 deliveries and orders," sales chief said in a statement, adding that the world's largest passenger jet maker was in talks with "several airlines."
