Oman- Forum in Salalah to discuss media support for vision, hearing impaired

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Salalah - The Ministry of Information, in cooperation with Al Noor Association for the Blind branch in the Governorate of Dhofar, will organise a forum for people with vision and hearing impairment beginning Sunday.

It is being held in Salalah under the patronage of H E Dr Abdulmunim bin Mansour bin Said al Hasani, Minister of Information. The five-day forum will have theoretical and practical training courses touching on media support for the disabled as per the international conventions on rights of the disabled people, sign language media in the sultanate and cinema industry for the disabled people.

The programme will also cover radio work and making of supporting media messages, blind media women and how to develop a media supporting plan through digital presentations reviewing themes of the forum. It will also look at the experiences of other countries.
