Nigeria: Six traders die in attack

(MENAFN) Local police declared that six traders have been beheaded as more than 17 were injured in an attack at a local market in Nigeria's northeastern state of Taraba.

Local authorities demanded the shut of the Iware market in Ardo-Kola area of the state after the incident.

Taraba police spokesman David Misal confirmed that probes have been launched to capture the responsible and confirm the reason behind the terrible attack.

He added: "The attackers claimed that the cows they (the traders) brought to the market were their cows, stolen during a recent conflict in another area of the state,"
