(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Astad, Qatar's leading project management consultancy, has announced that it 'is the first firm in the Middle East to be certified for ISO 45001:2018, Occupational Health & Safety Standard, by Bureau Veritas (BV).
BV is one of the foremost independent third-party accredited certification bodies in the world with a focus in the areas of quality, health, safety, environment and social responsibility.
Ali al-Khalifa, CEO of Astad, was presented with the certification for ISO 45001:2018, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 recently.
On the occasion, he said: 'At Astad, we strive to continually deliver projects to the highest standards while exceeding client expectations. With this, we are always working to improve our performance by ensuring that we provide a safe and healthy working environment throughout all our projects.

Astad said it achieved the recognition through a comprehensive audit by BV, who also certified Astad's integrated management system which 'reinforces the company's aim to always deliver excellence.
Astad stressed in a press statement that it has been managing the delivery of projects in Qatar for over a decade, offering expert project management consultancy from project inception through to construction, committed to ensuring all of their clients' needs are met safely and sustainably. Over the years, Astad has been an ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001-certified organisation.
