PM: Ethiopia set to ratify African Free Trade Agreement


(MENAFN) Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed declared his country to be prepared for the ratification of the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (aFcfta).

The statement has been made during the Conference of African Finance, Planning and Economic Development Ministers, which is held under the theme "African Continental Free Trade Area: Creating Fiscal Space for Jobs and Economic Diversification."

Prime Minister Abiy hailed the theme of the conference, saying that it was appropriate and of considerable value to all African countries.

The prime minister stated "Ethiopia is fully aware of the opportunities that the free trade agreement offers and is ready to follow Rwanda and Ghana for their pioneering role in the ratification of the agreement."
