Bangladeshi aircraft emergency lands in technical issues


(MENAFN) Airport officials declared that a local Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight carrying 74 passengers,had an emergency landing for damaged engine at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

The jet from the national flag carrier took off from Dhaka heading to Saidpur city of Nilphamari province,nearly 360 km northwest of Dhaka,however,it went back to the capital city and preformed an emergency landing to inform about engine issues,according to an official.

The official,whose identity remains unknown,confirmed that the plane had made the emergency landing as all the passengers and staff members arrived safely.

The incident occurred shortly after the private US-Bangla Airlines jet that crashed while on the runway in Kathmundu,Nepal,killing up to 51 passengers.
