Exploration of mines, minerals could help Pakistan rid of its internal, external debt: TYJ


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) PESHAWAR: Tribal Youth Movement on Saturday said that exploration of mines and minerals in resources-rich Fata could help Pakistan end all of its debt. The jirga asked the government to launch surveys and start exploration of oil and gas.

Head of TYJ Col (retd) Inam Wazir said that Fata was a resources-rich region and claimed that there were 3.70 billion matric tons of copper only in North Waziristan.

He said this while addressed a ceremony organized to celebrate first anniversary of TYJ. Inam said that Fata has more oil and gas reserves than Gulf countries that could help the country rid of internal and external debts. Other participants in their speeches demanded of the government to abolish FCR and bring Fata into mainstream.
