Pakistan- Naqib Mehsud father rules out patch up with Rao Anwar


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) DI KHAN: Father of Naqibullah Mehsud who was murdered in a fake police encounter in Karachi, rejected media reports about any patch up with former senior superintendent of police Malir Rao Anwar, the main accuses in the case, and his family.

Addressing a news conference here at DI Khan, Muhammad Khan Mehsud vowed that he would never compromise on blood of his son who was killed in fake police encounter in Karachi and said there was no truth to rumors that he was going to forgive abscounder SSP Rao Anwar.

'I cannot even think to do so,' he said, adding that Naqibullah's murder was murder of the whole Pakhtuns. He also condemned former president Asif Ali Zardari for declaring Rao Anwar a brave son of soil and reminded the government to fulfill its promise and arrest the killers of Naqeebullah.

He said that a 19-member committee has been constituted for arrest of Rao Anwar with two focal persons who would deal media.

Naqibullah Mehsud, who was hailing from South Waziristan, was shot dead in Karachi in a fake encounter. His extra judicial murder had sparked widespread protests which led to the creation of Pashtun Tahafuz Movement. A long march that started from South Waziristan reached Islamabad and camped outside National Press Club.

Hundreds of Pakhtun youth from across FATA and parts of country joined the sit-in demanding arrest of Rao Anwar and his accomplices as well as recovery of missing persons and clearance of South Waziristan of scattered landmines. The sit-in was dispersed by the protestors after the government announced to meet their demands.
