UAE- Sheikh Mohammed tweets out message in Chinese
(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Thursday tweeted out a message in Chinese, wishing everyone on the occasion of the Chinese new year.
"On the occasion of the Lunar New Year, congratulations to the Chinese people throughout the world for the happy Spring Festival!," a translation of the message read.
"China is an important partner and an old friend full of culture and inspiration. We wish everyone all the best in the new year," the tweet said.
The Chinese new year -- The Year of the Dog -- begins on Friday, February 16, and marks the end of the Year of the Rooster, one of 12 animals of the Chinese zodiac.
