North Korean leader calls for meeting with South Korean president


(MENAFN) South Korea's President Moon Jae-in has received a call from his North's counterpart Kim Jong-un to hold a meeting in North Korea.

A spokesperson for President Moon has confirmed leader Kim's sibling Kim Yo Jong to have presented his summit offer in a lunch meeting at Seoul's presidential palace.

Both Koreas were urged by President Moon to have a need to keep on cooperating in order to create terms for a summit to be carried out.

He also invited North Korea and the United States to conduct a quick resumption of talks.
