Tony Henry suspended from West Ham over discrimination claims
(MENAFN) As a result of allegedly claiming West Ham is refusing to sign any further African players, director of player recruitment Tony Henry has gotten himself suspended.
Athletes from Africa "cause mayhem" when they are not part of the team, the director allegedly claimed.
The statement said "the West Ham United family is an inclusive one where, regardless of gender, age, ability, race, religion or sexual orientation, everybody feels welcome and included. The club will make no further comment until the investigation has been concluded."
West Ham released a statement declaring they have "acted swiftly due to the serious nature of these claims" since they refuse to put up with any kind of prejudice.
