Pakistan- Anomalies surfaced in LHW program


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) CHARSADDA, 22 December: The district administration has conducted a raid on the office Lady Health Workers (LHW) program and found anomalies worth millions of rupees, sources said here on Friday.

The raiding team, led by additional assistant commissioner, found expired medicines worth millions of rupees in the stores, which were meant for free distribution among the public.

The district administration has constituted a committee to further probe the matter, the sources informed and added that the store keepers had burnt huge quantity of expired medicines as well.

It has been revealed that the Lady Health Workers have repeatedly requisitioned medicines and other medicated items from the district office but they were not provided the same.
