SsangYong Motor to resume exports to Sudan

(MENAFN) SsangYong Motor Co. has announced that it will resume exporting its vehicles to Sudan after eight years, as the US has lifted sanctions on the African country.

The company said it intends to transport 2,400 units of models including the Korando Sport sport-utility vehicle and the Korando Turismo van to Sudan from February through 2019.

Two months ago, the US has removed long-standing sanctions against Sudan, which has pushed multinational companies to resume halted or affected business operations in the African country.

SsangYong Motor will also make a venture into new markets in Africa and the Middle East next year to improve sales.
