Ukraine, Argentina to jointly work on priority sectors of bilateral trade


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Ukraine and Argentina will jointly plan work in the priority sectors of bilateral trade, including power engineering, cattle breeding and beef production, information and communication technologies, and agricultural machinery.

The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine reported this on Facebook following a meeting of Deputy Minister of Economic Development Ukraine's Trade Representative Natalia Mykolska with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Argentina on Economic Support and Trade Strategy.

"After the end of the 11th WTO Ministerial Conference, Ukraine's Trade Representative Natalia Mykolska continued to work for the growth of Ukrainian exports to Argentina. At a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Argentina on Economic Support and Trade Strategy, the parties discussed a plan to increase the trade between Ukraine and Argentina, joint projects from 2018 to EXPO-2023 in Buenos Aires. Ukraine is also preparing to participate in this exhibition. The sides agreed on joint planning of work in the priority sectors of bilateral trade, including power engineering, cattle breeding and beef production, information and communication technologies, and agricultural machinery," the report said.

The parties also reached an agreement on exchanging experience in export promotion.

"This is important for us now, since we are working on creating a system to support exporters in Ukraine, and we are planning to establish an institute to support and promote exports in 2018. This is also stipulated by the export strategy of Ukraine," the Economic Development Ministry reported.
